Edmond Kok Wai-ho, theatre costume designer and actor at his workshop in Sham Shui Po. Edmond Kok Wai-Ho made his first mask on Valentine¡H¡H Day this year as he thinks masks are more useful than flowers and chocolate when celebrating the special occasion during the Covid-19 pandemic. The 50-year-old theatre custom designer has so far made 173 masks. Inspiration for his mask collection mainly comes from simple items in daily life such as paper cups for take away drinks, packages for bread and potato chips. One of his masks was specially designed for his friend who got married in March. The bride wore the mask featuring laces to match with her wedding gown.The designer posts pictures of his creations in his Facebook and Instagram accounts in hope of seeking joy in this extraordinary time.
